Can I donate books to the library?
Answer
Please know that the library is now accepting book donations. Due to space, we are currently only accepting books that fit one file size box (roughly 18"x18"x16"). You may drop off your donation in the library at the Reference Desk during library hours.
Before you deliver the books, here are some guidelines for our donations:
- We are only able to add items to the collection that are in "Like New" condition. Please do not send items that:
- Have damaged binding or pages
- Have missing covers or pages
- Have excessive writing, markings, or highlighting
- Are dirty
- Are moldy
- Are burnt
- Are water damaged
- Are media materials in formats not collected by the library (i.e. audio cassettes, 8mm & 16mm films, LP records, VHS videocassettes, etc.)
Upon receipt, materials donated to the Library become the property of the College. The Library retains the sole discretion to determine whether to add the items to our collection or to dispose of them. Items not added to our collection may be shared with other libraries, sold to raise funds for acquiring new materials or given away for free.
Thank you for considering donating books to the Library.
